Last few days of pin campaign and puzzle campaign!

Hey :) I wanted to post a quick update here about the new pin campaign & jigsaw puzzle campaign. We are down to the last 5 days - as these campaigns are only 3 weeks long instead of the usual 4. So with the shorter run time, I wanted to help make sure no one missed it. 

In the last two weeks though, we've unlocked so many new stretch goals! 

For the puzzles - we have unlocked all 3 paintings so far - and are almost at the next stretch goal - the matching art tin for a deluxe Iris & Honey Honey Eater puzzle! 

I'm so happy we have unlocked all three of these designs as that was what I was really hoping for when we started this campaign 💙 

And, depending on how far we can get in the next few days, the next puzzle we can unlock is the Crested Crane & Protea painting 💛

And for the Pins & Bookcharms: We've unlocked 19 stretch goals!! There are now four complete sets of pins and bookcharms for different Flora & Feather paintings. 

And moments ago, we also unlocked the first design in the next set - the poppy pin! (which I am hard at work designing today 😅)So with a few days left - I am hopeful that we can get this complete set unlocked as well *fingers crossed* 

These pins will be made with UV printing on the enamel, so the colors will have beautiful gradients and variety instead of the usual flat fill of pins. I wanted these to feel more organic since they are made up of birds and flowers and the colors are so important to these designs - so these are going to be a little extra fancy lol. 

And for the bookcharms this time around, I am going to be using a round satin cord with color that matches the design set (so for example - emerald green for the quetzal set and golden yellow for the crested crane set).

New pins, bookcharms, and more!

Hello again! :) I wanted to post a quick update letting you know that I have a new set of pins and bookcharms launching this month! 

This campaign will be for my Flora & Feather paintings - so each painting is being transformed into a set of 3 designs - a bird, a flower, and a tiny dragon. I'm super excited to be expanding my pin and bookcharm explorations into another series. Thus far, all my pins have been black, gray, and gold - which I love for the elegance of it - but this collection will be all about the color! 

Not only will these pins and bookcharms be as colorful as the paintings they're from - they will also have UV printing on the enamel, to make the colors even more dynamic and rich. 

(These are little previews of my work-in-progress on the pin designs :) they are not quite finished yet - but a few more sleepless nights lol and I hope to have some final designs to start revealing.) 

This campaign will be running on Backerkit, instead of Kickstarter this time, to be a part of BackerKit's Pintopia event. If you haven't heard of it, there are over 100 of us artists launching pin campaigns on the same day - March 18th - and there are a bunch of extra bonus pins for free just for backing multiple campaigns. For instance, we each have a partner - mine is the lovely Kaitlund Zupanic - and if you back both our campaigns, we will each send you a free unicorn pin with your rewards.

BackerKit Surveys

Sorry for another update so soon - I don't want anyone to feel spammed by updates - but I wanted to just touch base with you about the BackerKit process so there's no confusion or worry. 

One of the things BackerKit does, to help make sure the process goes smoothly, is send out a small wave of surveys first to just a handful of random backers. That way we can double-check that everything goes perfectly with the survey before sending out the surveys to everyone. This way we can fix any hiccups that come up quickly and easily - as it's a lot easier to fix a few surveys by hand than it is hundreds. 

We did run into a hiccup. Apparently, my bonus rewards were way too complex lol with all the different bonuses and multiple-choice questions. BackerKit didn't have a way for me to set up bonuses with multiple choices on my own, so they had to do that on their end. Unfortunately, they didn't set them up quite right and it didn't give everyone the right bonuses and credits towards bonuses. So I let them know and they figured out what had gone wrong and fixed it. Unfortunately, then they had to go back and reset a few people's surveys. 

**So if you were one of the few early ones who got your survey filled out, just please double-check and make sure yours wasn't one of the ones that got reset - so you can fill it out again. The plus side is that you should now get all the bonuses you were supposed to get the first time. **

Sorry for the inconvenience of all that! I learned a lot about not making my Kickstarter so complicated in the future lol but I don't want anyone to worry. It looks like we have ironed out everything and I am looking over each one to make sure everyone gets their proper treasures! :) 

I am going through the first wave of surveys again tonight with a fine tooth comb to make sure they are perfect - and if they are, then I will have BackerKit send out the big wave of surveys to everyone else tomorrow. I am also trying to pack and ship these as fast as the surveys are filled out. So answering your survey sooner will mean I will ship your order sooner as well :) 

Thanks as always for your patience and all the support <3 Now I better go inspect these surveys one more time and get packing lol

Oh my goodness - I'm so excited to be posting this update :) The BackerKit surveys have begun to be sent out! So keep an eye out in your email for when the BackerKit link is sent to you.

It's been a tough few weeks finishing everything up - and I learned the hard way not to make kickstarters so complicated lol. Setting up this backerkit has been a crash course in learning how to untangle the knot I made with so many options, tiers, bonus rewards, etc - but with some help from the great support team at backerkit - everything *should* be perfect :) There were some dark days lol as I spent hours trying to make segments for backers getting bonuses with multiple choices or double, triple checking the addons and shipping. But it is as polished and seamless as I could make it. That said - if something seems off with your backerkit please let me know so we can look into it and make sure you get everything perfectly. This is my first time using backerkit, so there was a lot to learn, and even though I tried to be as thorough as possible, there's a chance I have a detail wrong in there somewhere. I admit, I've been super nervous about messing this step up and so I have spent waaaay more time on it than I probably should have lol. But I really want everything to be perfect for you guys. So please let me know if there is any trouble. 

Also... and this is even more exciting... the pins and charms have begun to arrive!! Oh my goodness, and they are so perfect-looking. After all the difficulties getting them proofed just right, it is such a great feeling to see how wonderful they turned out, and I know you guys are really going to love them. I will post some more pictures soon - but I wanted to get this update out as fast as possible for now. I have about 80% of them here already and just waiting on a few last boxes. This means that I can be shipping these out as fast as I get surveys in :)

And I have another unexpected announcement to make as well - I finished the painting for Set!

This was the only bookcharm and pin design that I didn't have the god painted for yet. But I was able to work on it in the last few weeks and finish his painting :) This means that Set's print and deluxe set are also now available in the BackerKit if you wanted to get one of those as well.

Hello! I just got home from New York Comic Con a day or two ago, and wanted to pop in here and give you guys another update :) Everything's coming together and we're almost across the finish line! 

I got photos from the manufacturer of how all 14 new designs are turning out - and I thought it might be fun for you to see how they're coming along as well. (The original 6 are already shown on the KS page) 

These are the photos they took of the pins. The bookcharms will be exactly matching except for the little loop the chain attaches to - so you can get an idea of what they look like from these as well. (They didn't send me separate photos for each of the bookcharms and I didn't dare cause any delays by asking for them lol) 

After all the difficulty they gave me making them - I am so happy to see that at least they came out as beautiful as I hoped and it was worth the struggle to get them just right <3 

I also realized I never shared photos of the bonus sticker's final design - so let me correct that now :) 

These ended up being a lot more complex - and big - then I planned 😅 (a reoccurring problem I have with my projects lol) but I liked the idea too much to back down and try something simpler. So these are about the same size as the original sticker designs rather than being only 2 inches big. But I hope you guys love them! Eventually, I plan to do all 20 designs to match - but I have to catch my breath first lol. 

So I think those are the updates for now :) I will keep you all posted for when the backer kit surveys go out and when the bookcharms and pins arrive. Thanks so much for sharing this journey with me - love you guys!
